The 2009 Nissan Titan has received very minor changes in this edition. It features the optional Titan heavy metal package that includes chrome step rails, wheels and billet grille.
Silhouette

The 2009 Nissan Titan offers a very attractive styling which is less conservative than the Ford and Chevy editions. Some buyers who are looking for subtle styling may find this edition too flashy with massive grille and chrome trim on its nose.

The 2009 Nissan Titan comes in four trim levels viz. XE, SE, LE and PRO 4X. The Nissan Titan King cab XE is equipped with 18 inch steel wheels, front bench seat, air conditioning, a lockable tailgate, front manual windows, and a CD player with six speakers. The Titan Crew cab XE adds an eight speaker stereo, power windows and locks and a power vertical drop rear window. The Nissan Titan offers an option of XE Popular Equipment Package which includes 18 inch alloy wheels, a chrome grille, a front overhead console and cruise control. The king cab adds sliding rear windows with this package.

The Titan SE includes all the features of the XE Popular Equipment Package and adds keyless entry, power mirrors, manual lumbar support, and an auxiliary audio jack and an in-dash six-CD changer with MP3 capability. The SE Popular Equipment Package further adds a leather wrapped steering wheels with audio controls, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass, eight way power driver seat, power adjustable pedals, and rear parking sensors. The SE trim also offers Drivers Convenience Package that features front captains chair, a console mounted shifter, Bluetooth, satellite radio capability and a premium Rockford Fosgate sound system along with eight way power driver adjustment.

The Titan LE trim includes all these features with an inclusion of driver memory functions, dual zone automatic climate control, a universal garage opener and a leather wrapped shifter. The crew cab edition additionally includes a pair of Rockford Fosgate speakers.

The off road PRO 4X trim includes features from SE Popular Equipment package and Driver’s Convenience packages. It adds heavy duty skid plates, all-terrain tires, Rancho shocks, a lower final drive ratio and a push-button rear locking differential. The Pro 4x also offers option of Driver Convenience package which includes leather upholstery, heated mirrors, driver memory functions along with Bluetooth and Rockford Fosgate surround system.

The SE and LE edition offer option of Titan heavy metal package that includes chrome step rails, wheels and billet grille.

The Max Utility Package includes, front tow hooks, a receiver hitch, spray-in bedliner a heavy-duty battery, power heated extended tow mirrors and a seven-pin wiring harness.
2009 Nissan Titan Powertrain

The 2009 Nissan Titan is powered by 5.6liter V8 engine which generates 317 hp and 385 pounds feet of torque. This edition is available with either 2WD or 4WD and is teamed with five speed automatic transmission.

When fully equipped the Titan extended cab can tow 9,500 pounds while the crew cab can haul 9,400 pounds.

The 2009 Nissan Titan offers an estimated fuel economy of 12/17/14 mpg. We noted that this edition sports a linear steering and offers a very refined ride.

The 2009 Nissan Titan features Antilock disc brakes. Stability control is available as an optional feature on all trims except XE while Front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags can be added as an optional feature in all trims.

Conclusion

The 2009 Nissan Titan is a full size pick truck with many advantages such as powerful V8 engines and roomy and practical design. The main drawbacks that were noted are cab style and drivetrain selections are limited.
